As the summer season begins to shift, so must our wardrobe.

Transitioning some of our favourite warm weather clothes into fall is a way of not letting go of summer. You can easily create a summer-to-fall wardrobe by mixing pieces for an updated autumn look. Remember, summer is not quite over yet, and September will have some beautiful warm days.  Which means a few more week-ends enjoying the outdoor fun on a patio, in a park or by a pool.

However, when the cool winds show up and if you're not quite ready to say, "Farewell summer, hello fall!" here are some of our suggestions:

- Layering is the easiest trick to transitioning. A jean jacket or cropped leather jacket over a printed strapless dress or maxi skirt.

- Pairing a slouchy sweater over lightweight pants.  The sweater also looks good over those sexy summer shorts worn with opaque tights.

- Scarves and wraps. Everything looks good with a bold scarf.  It's a smart accessory for pre-fall.

- Booties. Yes, we all love booties.  And they look great with a long flowy dress this time of year.  Actually, booties will look great with everything suggested here!

Below are two looks that showcase a stylish mix that will work for the month of September.
