Seasons are really annoying. You get a really great pair of shoes... and then you try to get them again four months later, and they say,'Oh no, that was last season.' Daphne Guinness

Summer is coming to an end as we say goodbye to August and welcome September.  As one season ends and the other begins, we hope for a growth and progression of what came before.  This happens in the fashion world as well, when previous concepts in design are perfected for future collections.  Months ahead of retail, designers work on these collections  for upcoming seasons creating a vision and an evolution of their ideas.  Great designers know the type of woman they are designing for and they hope for a finished product that is both artistic and lifestyle enhancing.

Once collections are ready, boutiques and store buyers begin the process of choosing the merchandise that will go in the showrooms months later.  For example, July to September is the time when buyers choose their merchandise for spring and summer of the following year.

Here at Raffinee, Connie has been busy with buying trips, making decisions and researching the latest trends without losing sight of the classic and elegant styles that the boutique is known for.  Many of the choices are made with the customers in mind and sometimes it's not just about colours, shapes and prints.  It is also an instinct for what women would like to have in their closets each new season.  Buying six months ahead takes much skill, and choices have to be decisive and positive. When the boxes arrive at the start of a new season, Connie's experience, knowledge and understanding of the fashion industry is evident in all those beautiful choices made months before.

Our fall and winter clothes and accessories are arriving and customers are just as excited as we are with the beautiful fashions.  It's the time to shake up your wardrobe with fall's great styles!
